You do the hokey pokey and you turn yourself about
that’s what it’s all about
You do the hokey pokey and you turn your self about
That’s what
The Raven Stomp
Is ALL About

  5. As the sun goes down the beat of the drum begins the cadence for the dance. Le Enchanteur arises from her seat and begins. First slowly as she becomes acustomed to the beat then she is joined by the Ravens. As they become one the pace picks up, the ground begins to vibrate, the drums incress their cadance. Dance, dance, the drums demand. The Ravens caw and flap as le Enchanteur surrenders to the ecstacy of the dance. They stomp, swirl and leap as one riding the drum beat as thou it were a stallion. The drums slow, le Enchanteur comes back from that place they had entered and quietly, slowly, puts her finger to her lips and says shush to the Ravens. As it began so it ends with the soft cadence of the drum.
From your picture I hear the drum.

  9. There have been three crows hanging around my front yard for about a week now- they chase each other ( note- they run along the ground…) and then they sun themselves on my Jeep’s roof.

You wouldn’t know anything about these hijinx, would you Heather?

  10. I love it when people see Ravens and think of me. If my son sees a lot near his work he texts and asks what I want :-) My mother has two who now live at her place and come tapping on her window asking to be fed. All very Edgar Allen Poe. I LOVE them and will have a sticker called Raven Woman on my new car. :-)

  11. We have crows that live in our neighborhood who like to pick through our compost pile for treats. Every time I hear them (sometimes BRIGHT AND EARLY in the morning) I think of Soul Food Cafe!
